Policies

These Policies must be agreed to and signed before enrollment.

Period of enrollment:

I(We) understand and agreed that the period of enrollment shall be for the specified duration from the date of enrollment. There will be no refund, credit, or remission of fees or tuition in the event of absence, withdrawal, or exclusion of the child from Mama Pajarita Daycare Except as provided in the withdrawal from school and a mandatory withdrawal policy.

Withdrawal from School:

A letter of intent to withdraw the child from Mama Pajarita Daycare must be submitted in writing. The enrollment agreement will terminate 30 days after such a written notice, and the tuition will be due until the termination of the contract.

Mandatory Withdrawal Policy:

  • Mama Pajarita daycare can and will temporarily exclude or permanently terminate a child's enrollment with a 30-day notice as follows.
  • Parental failure to abide by Daycare policies and/or This agreement
  • The daycares program does not/is not meeting developmental or special needs of the child as determined by the staff
  • Immediate withdrawal without prior warning may result for the following reasons:
  • An account that is past due for 30 days and/or disregard of tuition policies
  • Health or behavioral racism on the part of the child and/or parents
  • Conduct of parents, guardians, or children that the daycare staff or owner of the daycare, in his or her soul and absolute discretion, determines is threatening to the well-being, safety, or stability of all the children or staff.
  • Late Payments: Payment Must be made the first five days of each month. If any payment is more than one day late without agreement Mama Pajarita Daycare will charge additional charges of $10 per day. The daycare has the right to withhold each and every service for the child and the parent in the event the payment is 10 days late. Tuition and any other expenses that have not been paid are due immediately.

Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks:

We have meal and snack times, You must provide meals(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) and we provide snacks.  

  • Breakfast is served at 7:45AM
  • Morning snack is at 9:00AM
  • Lunch is between 11:00AM and 11:15AM
  • Evening Snack is at 3:00PM
  • Dinner is at 6:00PM (Dinner must be pre-arranged)

All children with allergies must provide a list of all allergies and provide appropriate medication(i.e.: inhaler, pills, EpiPen) 

Late drop off and attendance:

I (we) agree to bring our child before 9:00am, unless they have an appointment or we have an issue that has arisen. I must notify by phone or text to Mama Pajarita Daycare’s main phone number (971-464-7982) by 8:45am that a child will be late, and the same for when a child will be absent for the day.

Late pick-up:

I (we) Will not arrive later than the designated pick-up time. Pick-up time after 6:00 PM will be charged $1.00 per minute as a late fee.

Sibling Discount:

For two or more children enrolled at Mama Pajarita Daycare, the sibling with the lower monthly tuition will receive a 10% discount from their tuition.

Referral Incentive:

The daycare will give a $100 credit towards a child's tuition for every child of a new family.  To Qualify:

  • Each child must be enrolled and stay enrolled for at least three months.
  • Each referral credit will be credited to your account at the end of the three-month waiting period.
  • Maximum of 1 credit Per month. (First three Referrals can be compiled and be added at the end of the three-month waiting period) 
  • Each referral must be submitted before the new families are enrolled into the daycare.

Deposit:

First month and a $600.00 deposit must be paid upon enrollment. All fees will be billed to you each month with a ongoing itemized list visible on your child's sign in page. If fees are not paid at the end of each month you will be in violation of this policy agreement, subject to expulsion, the bill will be deducted from the deposit, and the remaining balance refunded by a check through the mail. 

Hardship Grants:

Hardship grants are available, on a case by case basis, only for fees. To qualify you must provide proof of specific hardship for example Emergencies such as hospital stays, car accidents, fire, flood, and more.

Non-Discrimination:

Mama Pajarita Daycare accepts all children of both sexes and any race, color, religion/non-religious background, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the daycare. It does not discriminate and/or will not tolerate any child, parent, or staff discriminating against others, on the basis of sex, race, color, religious background, notional or ethnic origin or disability in administration of its education policies, admissions policies, and other daycare administered programs.

Promotional Materials:

I (we) give permission to Mama Pajarita Daycare to use individual or group photos, videos, and/or movies taken of or by the below named child for promotional use in the daycare’s displays or on the daycare’s web page or to send to parents. I (we) understand that such use may continue after my child is no longer a student at Mama Pajarita Daycare.

Sunscreen Application:

I (We) give permission to Mama Pajarita Daycare’s staff to apply sunscreen on my (our) child/children whenever deemed necessary by the staff . Parents must supply there approved sunscreen in the child’s daily bag. 

Emergency Medical Attention:

I (We) give my (our) express consent to Mama Pajarita Daycare or any agency acting in its behalf, to secure and provide any medical and/or dental attention deemed necessary at the discretion of Mama Pajarita daycare for my child during a period when I (We) cannot be contacted by telephone or during a dire emergency situation. During an emergency, I (We) permit the school staff to call 911 and have the child transported by ambulance to the hospital. I (We) further agree to assume complete financial responsibility for any and all medical expenses incurred on behalf of my (our) child under the above conditions. I (We) agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Mama Pajarita daycare and its agents/staff for any and all damages arising from medical conditions, both known and unknown, not directly caused by the daycare’s gross negligence. Parrent’s must provide a copy of the child’s medical insurance card.

Liability Release:

I (We) give this child, of whom I (we) have guardianship of, permission to participate in all programs and activities planned for Mama Pajarita Daycare and use of the equipment in the classrooms and playground following all safety precautions. I (We) herby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages, for personal injury, death or property damage which may have or which may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me (us), as a result of participation in the said events. This release is intended to discharge in advance, Mama Pajarita Daycare, their agents, and staff from any liability. It is understood that some of the activities may involve an element of risk or danger of accident, and knowing those risks, I (We) hereby assume those risks. It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my (our) heirs and assigns.

Hygiene and responsibilities:

I (We) assume the responsibility of delivering the child clean at drop-off time, complying with hygiene standards. I (We) will be in charge of washing the sheets and blankets every weekend, and bringing them back every Nonday.

Check in and out: I (We)will comply with the requirements to check in and check out each day with Mama Pajarita Daycare staff and sign in procedures. 

Holidays and closures:

These holidays, closures, and vacations, are paid, no refunds/credits will be issued for these days. 

We follow the Hillsboro School District's closure policies for holidays and weather, stay tuned to local news for weather related closures.
